I came across this faded and deserted old restaurant façade in central Spain, and I loved the way that the paintwork and cracked plasterwork had faded and created such a muted palette with the brickwork coming through the complementary colours. The graphic lines and curves of the paintwork combined well with the crack lines in the wall while the stellar shapes of the broken glass in the centre provided colour contrast.
To me this scene revealed layers of history and character; the faded textures and muted colours telling a story of time and resilience, inviting viewers to reflect on the passage of life. The intricate details of the window and surrounding architecture add depth, making it a striking focal point for any space.

Print Dimensions & Materials
Print dimensions are approximate due to cropping or original image format and refer to the paper size including the white border which is included for framing purposes.
Prints are made by traditional Giclée printing, using Epson 'UltraChrome' pigment based inks that have been tested to give colour prints lasting 100 years plus without fading, and Hannëmuhle Fine Art 100% cotton paper. Should you have a specific choice of paper, please ask and I will do my best to help.
Larger image sizes, bespoke orders, and special materials such as DiBond, aluminium or canvas are available, please ask.
